Welcome, U.S. Nonimmigrant Visa Applicants

You are at the official nonimmigrant (temporary) visa information and appointment website for the U.S. Embassy in Kenya.

Interview waiver for certain visa classes in Kenya

We are pleased to announce new interview waivers for visa renewals. If your visitor or student visa (B1/B2, F1, F2, J1, J2, M1, M2) is still valid or expired less than one year ago, you may be able to renew your visa without an in-person interview. Eligibility for an interview waiver will be determined as you go through the process of scheduling an appointment on this website (https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ke/niv). You will be provided instructions on how to proceed if you have been determined to qualify for an interview waiver. Please note that if you are not applying for one of the above-mentioned visa types, or if you are applying for a visa for the first time, you are not eligible for an interview waiver.
