Visa Application Processing and Return of Passports
Visa Appointments
Due to the ongoing security situation the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem and the Embassy Branch office in Tel Aviv are offering limited nonimmigrant and immigrant visa services at this time.
Non-immigrant Visas
The Embassy offers nonimmigrant visa appointments across all visa classifications. If you cannot schedule a regular appointment in time for your travel plans, log into your account on this website (https://ais.usvisa-info.com/) and request an expedite online with specific information about the timing and purpose of your travel.
Immigrant Visas
The Embassy offers immigrant visa appointments for those who are either resident or physically present and able to remain for the required processing time. For those who cannot apply in Jerusalem, consular sections in countries where applicants are neither residents nor present may accept a case at their discretion in cases clearly involving hardship. Applicants who desire a case transfer should write the immigrant visa processing section of the desired U.S. embassy or consulate through the email address or other contact mechanism provided on the Missions web site.
Return of Passports
Since October 13, 2023, the CSRA document service center (DSC) at Shalom Aleichem Street 5 in Tel Aviv has been open and contingent upon no changes in the current security situation, the DSC will remain open to the public from 9:00-13:00, and will continue operating on that schedule, Sunday through Friday, until the situation merits a change. Unless you have received direct instructions from the embassy, please wait until the status of your application says "Ready for Pickup" and then you may visit the DSC at Shalom Aleichem Street 5 in Tel Aviv to pick up your passport. If you chose delivery of your passport through Israel Post, you must continue waiting until Israel Post delivers your passport.
