Applicant Service Center (ASC) Information

Overview

Most applicants for U.S. visas will be required to have an appointment at an Applicant Service Center (ASC) prior to their appointment at the Consular Section. Biometric information including fingerprints and digital photographs will be collected at the Applicant Service Center (ASC).

Applicants who are required to appear in person at the ASC and the Consular Section must schedule the ASC appointment at least one day before the Consular interview. Applicants can schedule both appointments online using this website or through the call center.

What to bring to the ASC appointment?

  • Current Passport valid for travel to the United States. You do not need to submit previous passports. The passport must be valid for six months beyond your intended date of entry into the United States.
  • Your Nonimmigrant Visa Application, Form DS-160 confirmation page.
  • Your appointment confirmation and instructions page printed from this website.
