You are at the Official Immigrant (permanent) Visa support website for the U.S. Embassy in Colombia.
Due to the suspension of immigrant visa services at the U.S. Embassy in Havana, Cuba, the U.S. Department of State has designated the U.S. Embassy in Georgetown, Guyana to process immigrant visas for residents of Cuba.
On April 1 2018, the U.S. Embassy in Cuba began transferring current immigrant visa applications and scheduling immigrant visa interviews for Cuban nationals at U.S. Embassy Georgetown, Guyana. U.S. Embassy Georgetown will be the primary location for processing immigrant visa applications for Cuban nationals. The first interviews will take place in June 2018.
Applicants with scheduled visa appointments at U.S. Embassy Bogota, and who have a valid Colombian visa, should attend their scheduled appointment.
If you have not received an appointment notice for an interview at U.S. Embassy Bogota from the National Visa Center (NVC), do not make arrangements to travel to Colombia. The NVC will send you an appointment notice for your visa interview at the U.S. Embassy Georgetown, noting the date, time, and other requirements for your visa.
Please contact the NVC through the online contact form for an update on your application status.
If you have NOT yet received a NVC appointment notice, please do not contact the call center number listed on this website, U.S. Embassy Georgetown, or U.S. Embassy Bogota as they do not yet have information on your case.
