You are at the Official Immigrant (permanent) Visa support website for the U.S. Embassy in Brazil.
Beginning Tuesday, August 28, 2018, all applicants applying for an Immigrant Visa (IV) in Brazil who have received a letter from NVC, KCC, or the U.S. Consular Section in Rio de Janeiro and have not previously completed registration at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/ will be required to schedule and attend a separate, biometric appointment to collect fingerprints and photo at the Applicant Service Center (ASC) prior to their visa interview appointment at Consulate General Rio de Janeiro. To schedule the biometric collection at the ASC, each applicant must complete the individual registration process at the above link and follow the additional instructions provided there.
Applicants who have completed the individual registration process in this system before August 28, 2018, do not need to schedule or attend a separate appointment at any of our ASCs; instead, they only need to attend the scheduled IV interview appointment at the Consulate General Rio de Janeiro.
Should you have any questions, please contact us via https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-br/niv/information/contact_us.
Appointment scheduling for all Non-Immigrant Visa categories or, in which the applicant did not receive a letter from NVC, KCC or the U.S. Consular Section Rio de Janeiro, remain unchanged.
